Spring Cleaning For Your Health

Spring has sprung and, at least where I am on Vancouver Island, flowers are starting to bloom. With this change in seasons, it is a great time to clear out what no longer serves you. Often this spring cleaning is something focused on clearing out things around our homes, but I challenge you to try clearing out another area of your life.

Over the years we can collect limiting beliefs, habits, and routines that impact our health, and there is no time like the present to change things up and clean out the things that are hindering you from achieving your goals. Journaling and habit tracking are great  initial steps to take to figure out what you are currently doing and what you want to change. Becoming more aware of what’s working and what is in need of change is essential.

Clearing and setting up your environment is also an important step that will make achieving your goals much easier. Getting into the habit of having prepped fruits and veggies in the fridge and having healthy snacks on hand can help you make better food choices and making your workout clothing, shoes, and gear more accessible can greatly increase the chance that you will use them.

So take the laundry off the treadmill, make healthy food just as accessible as less healthy options, and clear out those limiting beliefs and habits that are preventing you from achieving your goals. Lean into the energy that comes with the longer days and the warmer weather. If you are looking for more of a challenge check out my spring challenge from last spring linked below.
